2 Upcoming New Kia Compact Electric SUVs Launch In India 2024

As of today, December 22, 2023, there is only one confirmed upcoming compact electric SUV from Kia for launch in India in 2024:

 Kia EV9:

• Expected Launch: Mid-2024
• Expected Price: Rs. 80 lakh onwards

Features:

• Bold, boxy design
• Two powertrain options: 76.1 kWh and 99.8 kWh batteries
• Long Range variant claimed to offer over 540 km per charge
• 800V charging system for fast charging

While there might be rumors and speculation about other compact electric SUVs, Kia hasn’t officially confirmed any other model beyond the EV9. However, here are two possibilities that have been mentioned in some reports:

Kia Clavis (EV version):

• This one is still in the rumor stage, with no official word from Kia.
• If launched, it would sit between the Sonet and Seltos.
• An IC-engine version is expected in late 2024, with the electric version potentially coming later.

Hyundai Creta EV:

• This is not a Kia, but its close cousin from Hyundai.
• It’s been spotted testing in India and could potentially launch in 2024.
• While not directly from Kia, it would be a competitor in the same segment.

It’s important to remember that these are just possibilities, and only Kia can confirm their official plans. Therefore, while the EV9 is the only confirmed compact electric SUV launch from Kia in India for 2024, keep an eye out for any official announcements from them regarding other models.

I hope this clarifies the current situation around upcoming Kia compact electri
