NEW DELHI: The Council of Higher Secondary Education will conduct the Odisha Class 12 board exams 2024 from tomorrow. As per the Odisha Board Class 12 exam date sheet 2024, the higher secondary exams will be held from February 16 to March 20. Students will be given 3 hours 15 minutes from 10 am to 1 pm to attempt the exam.
The Odisha 12th main subjects with practical will carry 70 marks in theory paper. Students will have to pass both theory and practical exams to be declared qualified.
The board has instructed students to reach the exam centres an hour before the exam begins. An extra 15 minutes reading time will also be given to students to go through the question paper.
Students should write their name and roll number on the question paper and answer sheet. It has also been made mandatory to write their roll number to prevent cheating in exams.
The Odisha CHSE 12th result 2024 is expected to be declared in April – May 2024. Last year, the overall pass percentage was 84.93%. Last year, more than 39,000 students got first division. Students who secure 33% in each subject will be declared qualified in CHSE Odisha Class 12 board exam.
The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha had said AI-powered cameras will be installed in strong rooms, DEO office, Class 10 board examination hall.
The ministry of education’s Department of School Education and Literacy (DoSEL), which compiles board-wise Class 10 exam results, informed Lok Sabha in December 2023 that the highest dropout rate last year was recorded by Odisha, where 49.9% students discontinued their studies.
